Research Brief – US: 2012 Post-Holiday Shopping Survey [Premium]

2011 Post-Holiday Shopping SurveyThe 2011 Post-Holiday Shopping Survey is a national survey designed to provide insight into the experiences of in-store shoppers during the 2011 holiday season. The survey, which examines topics such as holiday inventory levels, store design and cost-conscious consumer attitudes, was conducted in December 2011 via Zoomerang, an online survey services provider, and is based on more than 1,000 respondents.

Key findings emerging from the research include:

  • Nearly a Third of US Shoppers Found Empty Shelves This Holiday Season
  • Out of Stocks Drove Nearly Half of Shoppers to Competitors’ Stores
  • Food & Beverage Registered the Most Out of Stocks This Holiday Season; Situation Causes Brand Damage to the Retailer
